Nuttin' Much

"Once more, dear friends, into the breach!"
Henry IV
, II, iv, 48

This is the way I feel sitting down to do another "Hugh's Views". Here I go into the heart of another entry in my cyberjournal. What do I deal with this time? Well, let's see. How about never starting a sentence with the word "well"? That's something I would never do. How about calling my Web Column by some cutsie "cyber" this or "cyber" that. My "CyberThoughts". Nah, I wouldn't do that either.

Ramblin' Man

How about ramblin' endlessly and not really saying anything..... Not me. I really feel for the people sitting at computers trying to read these things without giving them something of interest or importance to ponder. Like these words. No paper was wasted in bringing these words. They came from my computer to yours. HIghlighted marks on a computer screen, just as I typed them. Errors and all. I never make errors, though. Sure.

Hugh's Views Staff

I have a huge staff pouring over all my words before they are sent to the server that caries these writings. They make suggestions, corrections, and check for libelous materials that might get me into hot water. Actually my wife is my only staff member, and she makes a few suggestions that I usually ignore and send the semi corrected file to the server at Electriciti.com to be posted right here where you are reading. Exciting, eh?

Dis is Jointed

This is the most disjointed Views yet. That says a lot. It says that I wanted to get something out for the new year of 1997, but didn't have anything earth shattering to post. It says that if you're reading these words you probably have nothing better to do. Maybe you got tired of flipping the channels on TV knowing the Web awaits with its mountains of wisdom and information. It may be that you got one of those newfangled Web TV boxes that sit on top of your TV and are reading this with the whole family, pondering if it was really worth the investment to read what some "hack" in San Diego was posting in his column this month. "Look, Little Jimmy, this is an editorial about nothing."

Nothin' Much

Sometimes it's just fun to write about nothing until something comes up. Actually this was about something. It was about the time spent pounding a keyboard for me and scrolling the vast WWW for a bit of enlightment for you. Bet you didn't find it this month here, or did you?

P.S. I know the quote at the top wasn't cited correctly. I just wanted to put something from Will on the page and test your knowledge of theatre. It really reads "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more..." King Henry V, III, i, 1 William Shakespeare

Hugh Peebles, January 1997
